Daniel J. Gerpheide, a long time business owner in

Bellevue, died Islands Convalescent Center in Friday Harbor on September 1, 2009. He was 71.

He was born in San Diego on July 17, 1938, raised in Spokane, and graduated from Whitworth College. He also served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by wife, Lynda Lee, of Lopez Island; a daughter, Joanie (Paul) Snorsky of Seattle, son Christian Johnson-Gerpheide, of Moses Lake; brother, Peter (Cynde) and a granddaughter.

An inurnment was held at Lopez Union Cemetery onSaturday, September 12, 2009.
