I am a senior at Newport High school and live in the Enatai neighborhood. I’m concerned that Bellevue Way has become a freeway on-ramp.

People drive from downtown Bellevue to I-90 on Bellevue Way because Interstate 405 is too congested. This creates an issue for local residents because there is too much traffic.

I propose Bellevue Way be reconstructed with medians that allow less traffic through so that people use the freeway. Another simple solution could be raising the speed limit to get traffic through faster.

On a side note, I think closing Bellevue Way during Snowflake Lane would make it a much more enjoyable experience.
