Classic cars sought for auto show

Eastside Heritage Center is accepting applications for its annual BECU Classic Auto Show, to be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 23 as part of the Bellevue Strawberry Festival.
Participants will be able show off their classic rides to crowds that exceed 20,000 people per day, and vehicles will be judged by public ballot for a variety of categories, including Best of Show, Best of Decade, Oldest at Show, Owner’s Choice, Youth’s Choice, Most Stylish Ride, Best Motorcycle, Best Truck and Best Un-restored Original.
All participants will receive a dash plaque and trophies are given to the winners in each of the above categories.
The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 23 at Crossroads International Park in Bellevue. The festival will feature entertainment all weekend long on the Microsoft Main Stage, fresh strawberry shortcake, and historical displays and activities presented by the Eastside Heritage Center.
There will be food for all tastes and over 70 vendor booths, from hand crafts to home improvement. The Republic Services Family Fun Area will offer pony rides, inflatables, mini-golf, face painting, balloons, a train, rock-climbing wall, a big purple slide, and more. Also, of course, will be strawberry shortcake eating contests.
Free parking and shuttle bus every 15 minutes will be available from Highland Middle School.
