Metro to discontinue afternoon eastbound 218 stop at Eastgate freeway station

King County Metro Transit’s Route 218 buses will no longer make afternoon westbound stops at Bellevue's Eastgate Freeway Station in Bellevue, as of Oct. 15.

King County Metro Transit’s Route 218 buses will no longer make afternoon eastbound stops at Bellevue’s Eastgate Freeway Station at I-90 at 142nd Avenue SE in Bellevue, as of Oct. 15.

Metro made the decision, “to ease overcrowding on buses from downtown Seattle to Issaquah Highlands,” according to a press release from transit officials, and “the decision is an interim step to better provide space for riders heading farther east to Issaquah on route 218.”

Morning 218 buses will continue their regular eastbound routs.

Alternate routs to the park and ride include Metro routes 212 and 215 and Sound Transit route 554, and alternate routs to the Issaquah Highlands from Eastgate include Metro rout 211 or Sound Transit Express 554 and 556.
