Thanks to the Reporter, two cats have a new home

I wanted to share a great pet adoption story with you that came as a direct result from the Bellevue Reporter. In January, we featured a pair of seven-month-old sister cats named Hollywood and Vine that were in our adoption room. These cats were rescued from being euthanized at a shelter in Wenatchee, but they spent months in our adoption room with no one showing any real interest in giving them a home.

However, just a day or two after running their photo and story in the Bellevue Reporter, a very nice couple came in specifically to see Hollywood and Vine. The woman actually had her copy of the Bellevue Reporter with her and had the photo and story of Hollywood and Vine highlighted!

They had known they wanted to adopt a pair of cats, but were planning on waiting until this summer. However, the woman said Hollywood and Vine’s story jumped out at her and she knew right away they were the perfect match.

We recently got an update from Hollywood and Vine’s new parents and they absolutely love them. The kitties have the run of their whole house and it truly was a perfect match. I can’t thank you enough for helping out with this.
