‘Media 101’ workshop offered for nonprofits and businesses

A free “Media 101” workshop is available for nonprofit organizations and businesses to learn ways to effectively seek publicity. The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 16 at the Crossroads Community Center, 16000 NE 10th St.

A free “Media 101” workshop is available for nonprofit organizations and businesses to learn ways to effectively seek publicity. The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 16 at the Crossroads Community Center, 16000 NE 10th St.

The workshop will feature a panel of media experts representing a wide variety of media, and topics will include effective community outreach, how to approach the media and using print, radio, TV and social media to generate publicity.

Panelists scheduled to appear include Lori Matsukawa, KING TV Anchor; John Iwasaki, former Seattle P-I reporter and media consultant; and Naomi Ishisaka, former editor of Colors NW Magazine and media consultant.
