Three from Bellevue win Gates Endowmnent scholarships

Three scholars originally from the Bellevue area are recipients of the Mary Gates Endowment for Students, which funds research and leadership projects for University of Washington undergraduates.

Those receiving scholarship and the project titles are:

Katie Chung Yan Ho, Ischemic Preconditioning in TLR4-ko Mice Using Optic Nerve White Matter Preparation

Daniel Orrin Hutchins, Organic field effect transistor research.

Muhammed Yassin Idris, Fair Finance: Ethical Mortgage Transactions of Islamic Finance
