Dunn: No delay in appointing Constantine replacement

Metropolitan King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn, incoming chair of the Council’s Committee of the Whole, said that a replacement on the council for Executive-elect Dow Constantine should be completed this year.

“Despite recent press reports, I intend to vote on a replacement for [Constantine] on Dec. 14,” said Dunn, whose district includes parts of Bellevue. “Under my chairmanship, the Committee of the Whole will conduct interviews of potential candidates as soon as the council created advisory committee returns its report. I see no reason why the council cannot agree on a candidate and swear them in before the end of the year.”

Constantine was elected County Executive earlier this month. He represents Seattle’s West Seattle area.
