Therapist to discuss dyslexia, ADHD

Barbara Bennett, an educational therapist/educational consultant, will discusses up-to-date scientific theories about dyslexia and ADHD. Bennett, who trained with key national figures in both fields, will discuss the reasons for a comprehensive evaluation and for an individualized treatment model that works including such topics as: what is the role of accommodation in the process of skill acquisition; and can your child truly be an independent, functional student who can read, write, spell, do math, think, problem-solve, speak articulately – and turn his or her work in on time?

The meeting will be 7-9 p.m. April 17 at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center’s Surgery & Physicians Center, 12333 NE 130th Lane, Kirkland.
