Heart center opens in Bellevue

Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue unveiled its new state-of-the-art David and Shelley Hovind Heart & Vascular Center to patients Wednesday, July 17. The new 19,200-square-foot facility, which will bring Overlake’s cardiac and vascular services together in one location and features the most advanced cardiovascular equipment and technology available on the Eastside, will be fully operational by Aug. 5. Overlake staff, Foundation members and patients celebrated the grand opening Wednesday evening with a champagne toast and tour of the facility. KEEGAN PROSSER, Bellevue Reporter
