Heritage Corner: What is it?

Heritage Corner is a weekly feature of the Bellevue Reporter. Material is provided by the Eastside Heritage Center.

Curling iron. Much like the modern electric curling iron, this device used a set of heated tongs to temporarily curl hair. However, these tongs were heated by putting the iron into the glass chimney of an oil lamp.
