Saints conquer Wolverines in battle for bragging rights
Interlake’s Jamie Wagner had 13 kills and Erin Brown added another 12 in Interlake’s 3-2 (22-25, 25-11, 25-23, 24-26, 16-14) victory against the Bellevue Wolverines on Sept. 10 at Bellevue High School in the season opener for both squads. Interlake’s Billie Harvey had 36 assists and Courtney Johnson tallied a team-high 33 digs in the win.

Totems dominate Bulldogs
The Sammamish Totems rolled to a 14-0 win against the Foster Bulldogs in a non-league game on Sept 12 in Tukwila.
Mercer Island defeats Newport
The Mercer Island Islanders defeated the Newport Knights 3-1 in a battle between Eastside squads in a non-league game on Sept. 12 in Bellevue.

Totems win nail-biter against Foster
The Sammamish Totems registered a 30-29 victory against the Foster Bulldogs on Sept. 11 in Tukwila. The Totems (1-0) will host the Shorecrest Scots at 7 p.m. on Sept. 18 in Bellevue. Totems’ quarterback Kekoa Loschky had two touchdown passes and scored on a quarterback sneak on the game-winning two-point conversion as well.
Knights fall against Spartans
After a convincing victory in the first week of the season against Redmond, the Newport Knights suffered a 49-0 home loss against the Skyline Spartans on Sept. 11 in Bellevue. Newport (1-1) will face the Bothell Cougars at 7 p.m. on Sept. 19 at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell.
Port Townsend shuts out Bellevue Christian
The Port Townsend Redhawks rolled to a 44-0 victory against the Bellevue Christian Vikings on Sept. 11 in Port Townsend. Bellevue Christian (1-1) will host LaConner at 5 p.m. on Sept. 19 at Bellevue Christian High School in Bellevue.
