Seminar set on bare root planting

Published 3:43 pm Tuesday, February 23, 2010

A seminar on Preparing for Bare Root Planting will be offered at Molbak’s on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Jay Keye will provide helpful tips for planting bare root trees.

Here are a few reasons to opt for bare root trees and shrubs:

· Environmentally friendly – Without a pot or soil, bare root plants create no waste, plus they’re lighter weight, so less gas is required to transport them from farm to nursery.

· Easier to handle – The lack of soils makes bare root trees much easier to lift and maneuver. A definite back saver.

· Quicker to adapt – Because there is no soil around the root ball, bare root trees and shrubs have no trouble interfacing with the soil in your garden.

Molbak’s is located at 13625 NE 175th St., Woodinville, 425-483-5000 or visit the Events page at www.molbaks.com.
