The Newport gymnastics team opened up its new season with a 167-156 victory over Inglemoor on Dec. 4.

The Knights had a podium sweep on vault, claiming the top three spots. They also finished first and third on bars, first and second on beam and first and second on floor.

Newport’s Bella Nilsen won the first place all-around with a 36 and teammate Anna Bencke claimed second in the all-around with a 35.95.
