Bellevue residents were invited to Lake Hills Greenbelt Park Ranger Station Friday morning (Aug. 23) for “Bird Brains: The American Crow,” a free education-and-crafting event geared toward families. The event commemorated a decision made earlier this year by the Bellevue Master Naturalist Species of the Year program to give the misunderstood bird the moniker for 2019.

During the event, participants learned about the species through an interactive educational walk through the park and eventually made a craft back at the ranger station.
