Bellevue Police responded to a report of a disturbance at the intersection of 116th Ave. NE and NE 8th St. Monday night at 11:11 p.m.

A 22-year-old man called 911 from the AM/PM store and stated he had been involved in a fight and had stabbed another male. The suspect was contacted by police and detained.

The victim, a 41-year-old man, ran to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was transported to Bellevue Police headquarters, where he was interviewed by Detectives before being booked into the King County Jail for investigation of first degree assault.

Both subjects are described as local homeless men who were intoxicated. Police recovered the knife used in the attack, and detectives are investigating this incident.
