A 45-year-old Bellevue man riding a motorcycle died in a collision around 4:45 p.m. Monday on Interstate 5 on the West Seattle Freeway, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Chase Van Cleave.

The Bellevue man, Ryan Abay-Abay, was moving in and out of traffic at high speeds headed southbound on I-5. Abay-Abay was driving a black 2015 Yamaha motorcycle.

Traveling in the right lane, Abay-Abay failed to yield to slower moving traffic and struck a blue 2001 Toyota Sienna. Both vehicles were totalled and came to a rest, blocking the right lane.

Abay-Abay, who was wearing his helmet, died at the scene.

A Seattle man was driving the Toyota Sienna and was unharmed in the collision.
