Interlake defeats Hazen in first round of state playoffs

The Interlake Saints defeated Hazen 1-0 in the first round of the Class 3A state soccer playoffs on May 19 at Interlake High School in Bellevue. Interlake’s Sumer Rathinam scored the lone goal of the game in the 35th minute off of an assist from Austin Ball. Saints’ goalies Forrest Gobble and Sam Dawson combined for the shutout.
