Elite Fitness collecting for for families in need

Elite Fitness Training in Bellevue’s Old Main is collecting donations to feed local families for Thanksgiving. The facility is working with Food Lifeline and Families Feeding Families.

In addition to canned food items, people have so far donated more than 100 turkeys and another 100 are expected, according to owner Dave Johnson.

Those wishing to help can bring food donations to both Elite Fitness locations through Saturday, Nov. 22. On Wednesday, Nov. 26, the Elite staff from its two facilities will be running laps at Downtown Bellevue Park and doing other various fitness activities for every pound of food donated.

The facilities are located at 136 102nd Ave. S.E., Ste. 01, Bellevue and 1616 Eastlake Ave. E., No. 130, Seattle.
