Author to discuss cooking local produce

Author Greta Hardin will discuss “Cooking Your Local Produce: A Workshop for Tackling Farmers Markets & CSA Boxes” at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26. She will explain how a few simple ingredients and cooking techniques can transform those “mystery veggies” you might find at farmers markets into a delicious dish.

The talk is part of a speaker series by Bill Pace Fruit & Produce, King County Library System, and the Newport Hills Community Club. It will be held at Café Pace, 5464 119th Ave. S.E., in the Newport Hills Shopping Center. Seating is limited so arrive; early arrival is encouraged to guarantee a seat.
