Scholarship applications for Newcastle 5K available | Community recreation news

High school seniors who live in Newcastle can apply for one of three $1,000 college scholarships from the Newcastle 5K run/walk, beginning April 1.

Last year’s version of the event drew nearly 200 people and since it was founded in 2009, more than $21,000 has been donated to local high school students.
