Bellevue’s proposed garbage contract is heading to court. CleanScapes, the low bidder on a new seven-year garbage contract, will seek an injunction Monday to prevent Bellevue from signing a contract with Republic Services, which now holds the contract with the city.
ClearScapes’s proposed contract would charge about $2.70 a month less to the average customer than Republic’s. However, the Bellevue City Council selected Republic, saying it wanted to continue the stability it has had with the current provider.
