When it comes to team-building, Anne Weinberg knows diversity is key.
Weinberg has spent the past six years with Northwest Team Building, a group tasked with helping a variety of groups work better together and discover areas of improvement through challenge courses around the area. She said the course at the South Bellevue Community Center is one most unique in the area because of the variety of high and low elements.
“It’s a beautiful course in a great environment,” she said. “The way it is designed is really convenient and diverse.”
Weinberg was part of a two-person team leading a group of youth campers through the city of Bellevue at the Challenge Course this week and said it is common for groups of developmentally delayed or physically impaired individuals to take advantage of the low-course.
Kate Arustamian, a 14-year-old Bellevue resident, said she was making her first trip to the Challenge Course and had already become more comfortable as a result of the emphasis on teamwork.
“I’m really excited because I’ve never done this before,” she said. “With people around me, I feel more comfortable.”
The Challenge Course is located at South Bellevue Community Center, 14509 SE Newport Way. Call 425-452-4240 to make a reservation.
