Boys soccer

Bellevue 3 Liberty 2

The Wolverines dug out of a 2-0 first half goal behind three straight goals from Bennett Bugbee to get the 3-2 win over Liberty.

The game-winner game off a penalty kick late in the second half and helped Bellevue to the win.

Interlake 1 Sammamish 0

The Saints picked up the win behind a Chad Shapard goal and a shutout from Connor Brandli.

Softball

Newport 13 Garfield 2

Pitcher Kat Wood and the Knights had little trouble with Garfield, jumping in front 9-0 after two innings and cruising to the blowout win.

Wood worked a complete game of five innings in the circle, striking out seven and not walking a batter.

Ten players knocked in a run for Newport, including two each from Indiana Coxey, Kaitlin Sahlinger and Madison Stanley.

Tennis

Newport 4 Garfield 2

Angela Chen kept her record perfect with another straight-set win, and Sara Park also won a singles match for the Knights.

Newport swept the doubles pairs.

Interlake 7 Juanita 0

The Saints got wins from Isabelle Long, Lina Larson, Shayna McDonald and Kendall Watanabe in singles matches and swept the doubles to beat Juanita.
