Keeping vehicle registration safe

Regarding your article on vehicle registrations, we are required to have the original in the vehicle. It doesn’t make sense to keep this document in your possession specially when the vehicle is shared by more than one driver.

In this regard, are we permitted to blot out the address on the form and only show the owners name?
