Citing issues with electricity and their property owner, the owners and employees of Bill the Butcher have closed the Bellevue location.
In a short memo that went up on the doors last week, the company informed customers that it will open a new Kirkland location, along with its current stores in Redmond and Woodinville.
The shop had problems with power from the beginning, including the inability to keep its sign powered.
“To power our shop, it would required digging a tunnel through the parking lot and under Main Street, and our landlord was unwilling to work with us to undertake this project,” according to a memo in the shop’s window.
According to the memo, Bill the Butcher is searching for another location in Bellevue.
The Bellevue location of Bill the Butcher opened in November 2010.
