Issaquah 80 Newport 73

Ty Gibson checked in with 23 points and Nick Price added 22 more as the Eagles came out with a seven point win.

Isaac Dotson led the way for Newport with 23 points while Will Ferris finished with 16.

Mercer Island 46 Bellevue 58

The Wolverines, a day after falling to the same Mercer Island squad to conclude the regular season, broke things open with a 20-6 first quarter and held on to win 58-46 in a tiebreaker for the second seed to the 3A KingCo tournament.

Timmy Haehl finished with 13 and Jackson Rezab added 10 more for Bellevue. Brian Miller paced the Islanders with 15.

Girls basketball

Issaquah 62 Newport 40

The Eagles led by 10 points at the end of the first quarter and won going away behind 13 points from Sabrina Norton and nine each from Aimee Brakken and Mandie Hill.

Abbi Gobel and Chiara Victor each finished with seven for the Knights.

Bellevue 52 Mercer Island 53

The Wolverines got 17 points from Kate Holmes and 15 from Katie Savard but came up just short against the Islanders.

Julia Blumenstein led the way for M-I with 17 of her own.

Sammamish 28 Interlake 40

The Saints jumped to a 22-12 lead at the half and held on for the win over the rival Totems.

Bellevue Christian 34 Bush 9


Ashley Osborn led the way for the Vikings with 16 points and BCS did not allow Bush more than four points in any quarter, including a shutout in the third period.
