Issaquah-Sammamish sports reporter Kevin Endejan and I will have our usual look at this week’s playoff games later in the week on our blogs, but I wanted to get these polls going early because of the magnitude of the games.
Bellevue and Lakes face off for the second time in two years this Friday in the 3A state quarterfinals.
Do the Wolverines win again, or do the Lancers exact a measure of revenge and keep coach Goncharoff’s squad out of the state semi-finals for the first time since 2005?
What happens in this Friday’s Bellevue-Lakes game?
In 2A, Interlake is back in the quarterfinals for the second straight season and is hoping to reach the Tacoma Dome for only the second time in school history (they made it in 1985 in class 4A).

All-everything running back Jordan Todd (pictured above, photo credit: Chad Coleman) and the Saints were knocked from the bracket in the quarters in 2010, 58-13 at the hands of eventual state runner-up Archbishop Murphy. This time, it’s top-ranked Lynden coming to Interlake Stadium with a spot to Tacoma hanging in the balance.
Do the Saints realize their preseason goal of getting to the Dome? Or does a highly touted, perennial state power (the Lions have state titles in 1A and 2A, as well as back-to-back title game appearances in 3A) leave with a win?
