Both Bellevue East girls lacrosse and the Eastside Lions Youth Rugby Club are holding registration and encouraging area youth to give the growing sports a try.

Bellevue East girls lacrosse (BELAX)

Tuesday, November 22, 7-8:30pm at Lake Hills Library, 15590 Lake Hills Blvd. in Bellevue. Last year’s BELAX varsity won the State Championship, and the club has teams for girls from all over Bellevue and all ages, 2nd grade through high school.

The season starts in March and registration is open now.

Eastside Lions Youth Rugby Club

The Eastside Lions Youth Rugby Club is holding open registration for the 2012 season at the Sports Reaction Center in Bellevue on Saturday, December 17th from 10:00am -2:00pm for the sides below:

u19s (Varsity), u16s (JV) and u14s (C team). Players will receive free Pre-Concussion screenings on behalf of the Sports Recreation Center.

The season begins in January & runs through May. Dues are $250 and include shorts and socks (jerseys provided by team). Scholarships and payment plans will be offered on a case by case basis.

The Eastside Lions are comprised of local athletes who participate in football, soccer, basketball and wrestling. With nearly 100 registered players, the Lions are one of the largest youth rugby clubs on the West Coast. The Eastside Lions compete in Division 1 of Rugby Washington.
