Bellevue Christian splits pair

The Vikings opened the tri-district tournament with a 3-1 (17-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-22) win over Cascade Christian before a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-17) loss to Cedar Park Christian in the second round sent them to Saturday’s winner-take-all sixth-place game.

Emily Stoppler led the Vikings with 19 digs and Katie Hoffman finished with 38 assists to go with eight digs, three aces, two kills and a block. Meredith Lampe finished with 12 digs, 13 kills, five blocks and three aces for BCS in the win.

The opponent at Shoreline’s King’s School will be Life Christian Academy, which defeated University Prep 3-0 in the opening round before being swept by the host Knights.  The winner will earn the sixth and final seed to the 1A state tournament while the loser’s season will come to an end.
