Logan Schmidt, a 14-year-old Life Scout with Boy Scouts Troop 626 in Bellevue, led a restoration project at Songaia Cohousing Community in Bothell to earn his leadership and service requirements to become an Eagle Scout. His project will directly support and benefit the ongoing work of a local not-for-profit wilderness guiding and rites of passage education organization, Rite of Passage Journeys (Journeys).
“I really wanted this project to be about building
purposeful community and legacy because that’s what Journeys does so well with their
wilderness programs, and it’s what the Songaia cohousing spirit is all about,” Schmidt said.
