Bellevue’s GLY Construction to receive civics award

Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed has selected a Bellevue construction company to receive the state’s most prestigious civics award.
GLY Construction was selected from a statewide pool of nominees as Fall 2010 award recipients of Reed’s Corporations for Communities program, which honors exceptional Washington businesses that make community a priority.
Reed will present GLY with National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Medallion Awards at an upcoming ceremony in Olympia.
Corporations for Communities was launched in 2009 by Reed as a recognition program within the Secretary of State’s Corporations & Charities Division.
GLY Construction, the large-category recipient, is one of the largest locally owned general contractors in the Puget Sound area. GLY regularly contributes time, money and people to organizations like YMCA, Habitat for Humanity and many others.
The firm, which was founded in 1978, has built corporate facilities and distribution centers for the likes of Microsoft, Adobe, Nintendo, Overlake Hospital and Boeing,
