Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT) of Washington will host its Reach for the Stars Community Awards and Fundraising Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.
John Schneider, the General Manager of the Seattle Seahawks will provide the keynote address as FEAT of Washington recognizes individuals and businesses in the autism community who help further the cause of autism awareness and effective treatment through business leadership and community contributions.
Autism is growing at an alarming rate. In the 1980’s, 1 in 10,000 people were diagnosed with autism. Today, the CDC estimates that approximately 1 in 110 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with autism each year.
The cause of autism is unknown, and there is no cure. However, autism is a treatable condition.
The luncheon fee is $35 and there will be an opportunity to contribute to FEAT with a suggested minimum donation of $100.
