American Cancer Society to benefit from Pink Victory Spa

The 16 women in Bellevue businesswoman Judy Dowling’s Bunko group know cancer. Four of them are breast cancer survivors and one lost her mother to a battle with cancer just this year.

In response, Dowling wanted to raise funds to continue the search for a cure and new methods of early detection. While undergoing radiation treatment for her breast cancer in 2009, Dowling found that foot reflexology and massage helped to manage her fatigue.

From that came an inspiration for a day devoted to relaxation

and exploring alternate ways to rest and rebalance the body and soul. The

Victory Spa will feature foot reflexology, massage, Yoga, Reiki, OH card

readings, meditation, and refreshments for a suggested donation to the

American Cancer Society. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 at Friends, Philosophy, and Tea, 13850 Bellevue-Redmond Road,

Bellevue.
