An Auburn woman was hit by a car crossing the intersection of Bel-Red Road and 120th Avenue Northeast Tuesday.

The woman, an employee at a nearby business, was hit by a Ford Taurus heading eastbound while she crossed the road.

“She was crossing an unmarked crosswalk when she was struck by the vehicle,” said Bellevue Police officer Dave Asheim.

The woman was attended to by Bellevue firefighters and taken to the hospital. She had minor cuts and scrapes to her face, but it was not known whether or not she had suffered more serious facial injuries, Asheim said.

The driver of the Taurus was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
