Family Resource Center will celebrate its 20th anniversary – and a new name – from 3-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24.
The organization will introduce its new name – Together Center – at the event, which will include live music, food, tours of agencies throughout the campus, children’s art displays and stories from the center. The event also will honor 20 heroes at a short program at 4 p.m.
The event will be held on the center’s campus at 16225 NE 87th St., Redmond.
One of the first multi-tenant nonprofit centers in the nation, Together Center incorporated in November 1990 to ease access to human services. East King County residents once needed to travel from Bothell to Renton or beyond to find help at individual locations. People now find comprehensive assistance at one location in downtown Redmond.
Use of the Center jumped to more than 67,000 East King County residents last year.
Major agencies on the campus include Hopelink,
Sound Mental Health, Friends of Youth, HealthPoint, Youth Eastside Services, Habitat for Humanity and more.
