KITH sets annual dinner, auction in Bellevue
Published 3:50 pm Monday, August 16, 2010
The 8th annual dinner and auction to benefit KITH (Kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing) programs for homeless families in East King County will be held at 6 p.m. October 2 at the Hilton Bellevue.
Homelessness is considered a problem in East King County. Eastside school districts report 564 children are homeless, even with working parents.
One of KITH’s strategies in ending homelessness is to work directly with a family, providing life skills training and other assistance that promotes self-sufficiency.
To support the event by sponsoring or being a table host, donating silent or live auction items, or volunteering, contact Christine Addison, christinea@kithcares.org or call 425-576-9531.
Registration is available on the KITH web site, www.kithcares.org.
