Three Cedars Waldorf School to host meeting on ‘Simplicity Parenting’
Published 11:59 am Friday, April 9, 2010
Three Cedars Waldorf School in Bellevue will host an introductory evening to “Simplicity Parenting,” based on the book by counselor and international consultant Kim John Payne.
The book focuses on a new form of parent coaching to help Eastside parents simplify their home lives and enrich their children’s development.
Four members of the Three Cedars faculty and staff – facilitators Kimberly Lacy, Monica Lander, Terri Hawkins, and Briana Bennitt – who have been personally trained by Kim John Payne and Davina Muse will lead the event.
The free introductory evening will give interested parents an opportunity to find out what “Simplicity Parenting” is all about, and a step beyond reading the book wherein parents form seven-week study groups (groups meet two hours per week) to support each other in bringing the simplifying changes that are longed for into family life.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 29 at Three Cedars Waldorf School, 556 124th Ave. NE. More information is available at 425-401-9874 or infothreecedars.org.
