Mariel Hemingway, the Oscar-nominated actress, model and author, will visit two Tully’s locations in the Bellevue area Saturday, April 3 to launch her new product, Blisscuits, and sign her new cookbook, “Mariel’s Kitchen – Simple Ingredients for a Delicious and Satisfying Life.”

She will appear from 1-3 p.m. at Tully’s Coffee at 8805 Points Drive in Clyde Hill and from 5-7 p.m. at Tully’s Coffee in Lincoln Square, 700 Bellevue Way NE, Suite 140, Bellevue.

Hemingway first created Blisscuits in her own kitchen in 2003 when a family member was diagnosed with cancer. She set out to create a sweet snack that is healthy and tastes great without any refined sugar. The result was Blisscuits, a healthy “cookie” that even her young daughters loved. Blisscuits come in four flavors that are gluten-free, all-natural, contain cage-free egg whites, omega-3 fatty acids and more than 40 percent organic ingredients with no refined sugar or hydrogenated oils, making them a good option for those with food sensitivities.

Blisscuits can be purchased in the Northwest at Tully’s Coffee and individual packages retail for $2.99.

Hemingway created Mariel’s Kitchen in 2008 in hopes of creating a new awareness for better health choices.
