Pedeferri leads Bellevue firefighters in charity stair climb

Eric Pedeferri finished first among 19 Bellevue firefighters in the recent Scott Firefighter Stairclimb in Seattle. His time was 15:33.90 for the event, which raised funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A total of 1,555 firefighters from the U.S., Canada, Germany and New Zealand participated.
A firefighter from Montana was first overall with a time of 11:01.35.

The climb to the 73rd floor of Seattleās tallest building is recognized as the largest individual firefighter competition in the world.
Firefighters are clad in full bunker gear and breathing apparatus, collectively weighing about 50 lbs.
