22 firefighters from Bellevue to participate in Leukemia & Lymphoma Society stair climb

A total of 22 members of the Bellevue Fire Department will participate in the Scott Firefighter Stair Climb to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society this year. The event will be Sunday, March 7 at the Columbia Center building in Seattle.
Firefighters will race up 69 flights of stairs and 788 feet of vertical elevation to reach the finish line at the observation deck. In all, they will have climbed 1,311 steps.
The Columbia Center is the second tallest building west of the Mississippi.
Those making the climb this year include:
Eric Pedeferri, Scott Symons, Nick Kramer, Jared Storer, Mike Williams, Camari Olson, Marcus Howle, Rob Dykstra, Warren Merritt, Mark Moulton, Brian Regalado, Ted Erb, Andrew Schneider, Mark Pan, Kris Johnson, Steve Medina, Alexa Dillhoff, Donald Martinell, Kevin Guitron, Luke Steere, Douglas Halbert and John Rickerson.
The event draws firefighters from 244 different departments and the 2009 brought in a record $640,000 for blood-cancer research and patient services.
