Giving tree helps pets

A Giving Tree hosted by Urban Dogs in Bellevue Square collected over $3,000 in toys and treats for the Bellevue-based Seattle Humane Society.

The amount given was up 100 percent from 2008.

The Giving Tree event also acted as a connection between people and pets in the Seattle Humane Society’s foster care program by giving potential

permanent homes for pets.
