Police are investigating a report that a former executive of Hebert Research stole at least $168,000 from the Bellevue firm.

The man in question was arrested on Monday, Dec. 7, but has yet to be charged.

An internal financial audit of Hebert Research for the fiscal year 2009 uncovered the theft. According to Bellevue police, as the investigation progresses, more money has been discovered missing.

Hebert Research was founded in 1979 and offers full-service research for start-ups, Fortune 500 corporations, non-profits and government agencies including notable companies such as Microsoft, Costco, The Bellevue Collection and Pepsi.
