Matthew Whinihan promoted at Golf Club at Newcastle

The Golf Club at Newcastle recently promoted its seasoned Banquet Chef, Matthew Whinihan, to the position of Executive Chef.

Whinihan has been with The Golf Club at Newcastle for two years and previously served as Chef de Cuisine at Alderbrook Resort, where he managed a staff of more than 30 people. As the new Executive Chef, he will head up overall culinary operations, including menu development, food pairing, and day-to-day kitchen operations for The Calcutta Grill, the property’s signature view dining room and the full-scale catering programs held in the clubhouse.
