Bellevue College newspaper wins award

Bellevue College’s student newspaper, The Jibsheet, has won a national Pacemaker Award from the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP) for the quality of its online edition.

The Jibsheet’s online version can be viewed at www.thejibsheet.com.

More than 220 four-year and two-year colleges entered the annual ACP Online Pacesetter competition this year.

The sites were judged on integration of multimedia and user-generated content; navigability; breadth of coverage, including in-depth reporting, design and news judgment.

ACP is the nation’s oldest and largest national membership organization for college student journalists.
