King County Council

At the Committee of the Whole, councilmembers received briefings on:

· The review of the King County Charter.

· The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Eastside Rail Corridor.

At the Council meeting, councilmembers:

· An ordinance adopting a collective bargaining agreement between the county and the Public Safety Employees Union, representing employees in the Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention.

Introduction of ordinances and motions for Council action:

· A motion identifying the solid waste division as the agency selected for biennial budgeting in the 2009-2010 biennium (Motion 2008-0184).
