Vikings capture first win of 2017 season

The Bellevue Christian Vikings cruised to a 28-6 win against the Chimacum Cowboys on Oct. 7. Bellevue Christian (1-5) will face Coupeville at 7 p.m. on Oct. 13 in Coupeville.

Knights dominate Jaguars in non-league contest

The Newport Knights rolled to a 45-20 victory against the Emerald Ridge Jaguars in a non-league game on Oct. 6. Newport (4-2) will host the Woodinville Falcons at 7 p.m. on Oct. 13 at Newport High School in Factoria.

Spartans dominate Totems

The Bainbridge Island Spartans defeated the Sammamish Totems 42-8 on Oct. 6. The Totems (3-3) will play Chief Sealth at 7 p.m. on Oct. 13 in Seattle.

SOCCER

Lake Washington defeats Interlake

The Lake Washington Kangaroos earned a 3-1 win against the Interlake Saints on Oct. 5. Interlake (2-7-1) will host Mercer Island at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 in Bellevue.

Bellevue captures win against Sammamish

The Bellevue Wolverines registered a 4-1 win against the Sammamish Totems on Oct. 5. The Wolverines improved their overall record to 6-2-1 with the win. Sammamish dropped to 1-8-1 overall.

Newport loses to Skyline

The Skyline Spartans cruised to a 3-0 win against the Newport Knights on Oct. 5. Newport dropped to 3-7-1 with the loss.

Bellevue Christian shuts out Seattle Christian

The Bellevue Christian Vikings earned a 3-0 win against Seattle Christian on Oct. 3. Bellevue Christian (7-1-1) will host Seattle Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 19 at Marymoor Park in Redmond.

VOLLEYBALL

Bellevue sweeps Lake Washington

The Bellevue Wolverines improved their overall record to 10-1 courtesy of a 3-0 win against the Lake Washington Kangaroos on Oct. 4. The Wolverines will face Mercer Island at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 in Mercer Island.

Bellevue Christian cruises to victory against Seattle Christian

The Bellevue Christian Vikings registered a 3-0 win against Seattle Christian on Oct. 3. Bellevue Christian (7-2) will host Vashon Island at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 at Bellevue Christian High School.

                                The Lake Hills Soccer club U-14 United boys recreational division soccer team, which is coached by Rick Waedekin and Allen Salmieri, won the district II championship in its division two weeks ago. The U-14 United soccer team will compete in the Washington Youth Soccer Recreational Cup semi-finals on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. If they are victorious in the semi-finals, the team will compete in the championship game on Sunday, Dec. 10 in Tukwila.

                                The Interlake Saints boys Cross Country squad earned second place at the Class 3A state meet at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco on Nov. 4. The Saints compiled 92 team points. Kamiakin captured first place with 55 team points (low score wins in Cross Country). Interlake senior Dante Paszkeicz captured ninth place individually with a time of 15:41. Saints’ senior Matthew Roberts earned 11th place with a time of 15:45.7.
