The Sammamish Totems girls tennis doubles team consisting of sophomores Nina Vongsaly and Katrina Kuntz captured the Class 2A state title on May 26 at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. The Interlake Saints girls golf team earned second place at the Class 3A state golf tournament on May 23 at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane.
                                The Saints, who compiled 90 team points, finished just 1.5 points behind first place Bellevue (91.5 team points). Interlake’s Samantha Na captured fifth place overall individually with a total of 153 strokes at the two-day tournament. Katie Kester registered a sixth place finish with 154 strokes. Bronte Polette finished in 21st place overall individually as well.

Saints girls golf team captures second place at Class 3A state tournament

Interlake golfer Samantha Na earns fifth place individually.

The Interlake Saints girls golf team earned second place at the Class 3A state golf tournament on May 23 at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane.
                                The Saints, who compiled 90 team points, finished just 1.5 points behind first place Bellevue (91.5 team points). Interlake’s Samantha Na captured fifth place overall individually with a total of 153 strokes at the two-day tournament. Katie Kester registered a sixth place finish with 154 strokes. Bronte Polette finished in 21st place overall individually as well.

                                The Vikings, who have put together an overall record of 17-5 this season, have won 13 consecutive games. The Vikings will face the Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors in the first round of the Class 1A state tournament at 10 a.m. on May 25 at Columbia Playfield in Richland.
