Newport freshman outside hitter Arden Carnrite was named to the second-team 4A KingCo all-league team. The Knights were also named the sportsmanship team of the year.
The Knights will open the 4A Wes-King tournament with a match against the Mount Vernon Bulldogs (10-4) at 1 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Mount Si High School. The winner of the match between the Knights and the Bulldogs will play the Mount Si Wildcats (14-4) later that day.
