Girls Lacrosse

April 20

Roosevelt 24, Bellevue 14

Angie Anderson scored six goals to help the Roughriders to a 24-14 win over Bellevue at Seattle’s Magnusson Park.

Anderson’s six goals were a season-high and helped the Roughriders improve to 6-1-1 in girls Division I.

Taylor Blackbourne made eight saves for Bellevue (2-5-1), who was led by Merielle Moffatt with six goals.

Garfield 11, Forest Ridge 4

Rebbeca Feldman scored three goals to help the Bulldogs knock off Forest Ridge.

The loss dropped the Ravens to 3-4 on the season.

Baseball

April 20

Mount Si 13, Sammamish 3

The Wildcats scored eight runs in the first inning and added four in the fifth to beat the Totems 13-3 in a five-inning game in Snoqualmie.

Ross Kulczyk took the loss for the Totems (6-8, 5-7 KingCo 3A/2A), but wasn’t helped by his defense, as Sammamish made five errors.

Matt Bankston, Dustin Breshears and Zach Guyer all hit triples for Mount Si (10-4, 9-3) and Taylor Campbell clubbed three doubles.

Bellevue 6, Juanita 3

Jake Collier went six innings and struck out six as Bellevue pulled even with Liberty in league play with a win over Juanita.

Collier also went 2-for-3 with two doubles to help his own cause at the plate for Bellevue (10-2, 9-3). John Nortz got the save for Bellevue.

Robbie Ryan took the loss for Juanita (2-12, 1-11).

Newport 8, Ballard 1

Kayla Reynolds pitched a complete-game one-hitter, striking out ten to help Newport (5-5, 2-4 Kingco 4A) beat Ballard in Bellevue.

Kara Reichenbach had three RBIs for the Knights while Jessica Barry added two. Sophie Overlock-Pauley took the loss for the Beavers (1-7, 1-5).

Mount Si 11, Sammamish 4

Brielle Buhner, daughter of former Seattle Mariners outfielder Jay Buhner, went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, falling a triple short of the cycle, to help Mount Si beat the Totems 11-4.

Alex Johnson pitched a complete game on the mound for the Wildcats (4-5, 3-2 KingCo 3A/2A).

Tina Jacobsen went 3-for-5 for Sammamish (5-5, 0-4).

Interlake 5, Liberty 4

The Saints scored two runs in the top of the seventh for a comeback win over the Patriots.

Denise Biohowiak pitched a complete game in the loss for Liberty (4-6, 1-3). Interlake improved to 4-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
